The Spirit Séance Post
By Ray Carlyle

It comes with full instructions with pictures and complete detailed drawings so  you can make it with materials found at any hardware store. With this you can  perform a Spirit Cabinet Act on stage, in a banquet hall or even a living room at  you host home. This act has been preformed by some of the greats of our  business since the early days of magic in America. Though different methods  have been used, this one is by far the easiest to learn and do. It is also the most  convincing and entertaining. All necessary points are covered. Know that this is  not a one-man effect and must be practiced as a team in order to prefect the  timing necessary for it to be shown. No this is not one of those no skill  necessary effects. It is A classic, to be sure.

PRICE: $35 (Drawings and instructions and a CD of the effect and an explanation )

Unique Opportunity

The One-Man Séance For In Home Use

Private Lessons with E. Raymond Carlyle

Several Pros have taken this course and raved about it. This séance is one that can and should be done for small groups and is not designed for the stage. One pro stated, "G-D I'll fooled on full light!". Yes that is a strength of this effect, it does NOT need total darkness. In point of fact, much of the séance is preformed with a single white light on and most of the so called "dark" part is done with a red light on, as a back light, and a candle burning (As seen in the photo). Only the last few seconds are done with no artificial lighting. Remember if some light comes around window coverings, shades, curtains etc. this is no problem.

Now it is taught here at my home in Virginia Beach. Personal lessons are given over a two-day session. No  props are supplied. You are shown what to acquire and are offered a chance to video, audio & take still  pictures. As an extra bonus you are taught the Spirit or ghost show effect listed above.

Because of my age, now 78, and the strain of two full days of teaching, we have decided to raise the price of the training in hopes that those that apply will really want to do the séance.  We have added the instructions to the effect above to the training.

Be sure to call and make sure we will be available on the date you want. Also bare in mind that you must provide your own housing, hotel or motel, while here. You must also factor in your transportation, to and from your home, and a car to get you from the airport to you hotel and then to my home. If it still seems worth the money contact me below.

The Ostin Clip

Ala John Riggs

by Special Arraignments with Mr. Riggs,

Carlyle Enterprises has been granted manufacturing rights to his version of the clip

This is the clip seen above in the Your Choice effect. How is it different from Ostin's original clip? First for those that know the original, a lot of effort was needed to get a rubber band into position. In doing so the band was sometimes weakened. Mr. Riggs came up with a method of adding hooks on the inside that made adding or changing the band a matter of seconds not minutes. And the band is not hurt in anyway in loading it to the clip. Now what does it do? Well it holds, as can be seen in the picture at the right, a prediction or other billet which is a blank or dummy. After retrieving a real billet from, say an index and palming it, you come to the place you have the clip hanging. As your hand grips the clip to open it, the blank is pulled up into the inside of the clip. At the same time you show or drop the real palmed billet. With the cover of the 'taking' hand which has the palmed billet, the action is covered and seems to be what the audience thought they saw, but it isn't. It's clean switch.

PRICE: $20 w/extra bands

A New Effect using the New Ostin Clip

Here is an effect to use with the New Ostin Clip. As seen to the right the clip is inside a large jar. It can be placed on display and the jar lid sealed. A committee may write their names on the out side of the jar and mark in anyway the lid so that they can be sure it is never opened until it is opened on the night of the show and in front of the committee. The six (6) committee people who signed the jar or six (6) new committee people are ask to come on stage. Note: I present it at the close of my act when I do this effect. The chart show below is a Dry Erase board that has been lined with tape ( the type use on these boards ) as shown in the illustration. The five (5) segments are listed as, an ESP symbol , a color, a playing card , a number & a state you are not in right now. Five of the committee are ask to choose, at random no force, these five items which are then listed for all the see. Number six (6) committee man is ask to make the final choice. One out of at the very least two hundred possible different selections! He does! He is them ask to go to the jar and unscrew the sealed lid. After he has to lift up the lid and the clip clear of the jar and to sit down the jar. He does. You now instruct him to hold his empty hand (the one he used to sit down the jar)  below and the clip. You squeeze the clip releasing the slip which falls into his waiting hand. He is ask to put the lid and clip aside and to open and read the slip. It has the exact item he himself just chose moments ago.

Of course the secret is in the New Ostin Clip which can be bought above.
